Mesotherapy for skin rejuvenation is commonly used on the face, neck and hands to rejuvenate the skin and on the jowls, chin, arms, abdomen, legs and buttocks to reduce fat. The treatment is minimally invasive but effective.
Mesotherapy uses microinjections to inject active ingredients directly into the skin cell. It is used on specific areas to deliver vitamins to the middle layer of skin, known as the mesoderm. By stimulating the metabolism, breaking down fat and encouraging local circulation, it can also be used to promote weight loss and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Mesotherapy involves multiple injections using a fine needle to deliver tiny amounts of the active ingredients to the areas of concern.
Mesotherapy can result in smoother skin. When used on the legs and buttocks it can eliminate cellulite by breaking down the ‘orange-peel’ appearance. Most patients will be need between ten and 25 sessions, although if cellulite is severe more sessions may be required.
Depending on the area being treated and your particular skin concern, you could need between three and ten mesotherapy sessions to rejuvenate the skin. Top-up treatments may be needed intermittently to maintain the results.
The cost of Mesotherapy will depend on the size and extent of the area being treated but the cost ranges from £200 to £700.
