Specialist dental surgeon Mr Shahzad Naseem (known to all as ‘Shaz’) believes helping patients feel good about themselves and their appearance is just as important as caring for their teeth. Dental Works, which was created in May 2005, is his personal vision of a place where patients can receive the latest dental and cosmetic treatments in relaxed, comfortable surroundings, a place where even nervous patients can overcome their fears and feel at ease.
But it’s not just Shaz that believes this approach is good for patients. Shaz is supported in his vision by an expert team of general and specialist dentists and an oral and facial plastic surgeon, all of who are committed to offering the highest standards of dental and cosmetic treatments to their patients.

The environment is appropriately lighted with large soft furniture, instead of the stark hard chairs often found in surgeries. The colour scheme is soft with various smiling portraits staring back at you. The surgery rooms themselves are very spacious with all the up-to-date modern equipment and dental chairs which again aid in the relaxation. ”

“So my first visit to Dental Works was a wonderful change from the norm. As I was having problems I was pleased to be able to get an urgent appointment. On arriving I was relaxed immediately by the decor and colours of the reception and waiting area. It was a very calming ambiance. I noticed it was a well equipped surgery which was state of the art. It was modern and though very clean it did not look like a typical dental surgery. Not at all like other practices I have visited. I have found previously that my irrational fears are heightened by the look and smells of the surgery. The receptionist had a polite manner and immediately attended to me even though I saw she was in the middle of doing something. I have been in various receptions where I have felt suddenly invisible or as if I am wasting their time. ”

Impressed by the state of the art equipment, expertise of the dental surgeons and efficiency of the team, I quickly signed up to become a patient.
