Today it has been announced that America's ToothFairy will be working with thousands of volunteers across the country in aid of the second National Smile Drive. This is a campaign to raise oral health awareness by collecting toothbrushes and toothpaste for children in poverty.

After the success of 2014's Drive, with 430,000 dental care products collected and sent, the campaign is now being sponsored by Align Technology, the creator's of Invisalign.

A vast collection of scouts, high schools and colleges will be collecting and donating toothbrushes, toothpastes and other oral based care treatments for February's campaign. Local dental companies, that are recognised by the National Smile Directory, will be working as collection sites, with items then being distributed to homeless shelters in the neighbourhood, America's ToothFairy affiliates and additional non- profit organisations.

Fern Ingber, America's ToothFairy's CEO said “We are very grateful that Align Technology are helping to ensure children across the nation benefit from our National Children’s Dental Health Month campaign. Their participation in the America’s ToothFairy Smile Drive combined with the efforts of dental practices, companies, students, and volunteers will provide at-risk children the tools they need to prevent the pain and embarrassment associated with tooth decay.”
