Dracula PRP Therapy™ is a powerful anti-ageing treatment that involves using your own blood as an injectable treatment. Sometimes known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, Dracula PRP Therapy is a unique version of the treatment developed by Dr Daniel Sister, the first to introduce the treatment into the UK.

A small sample of blood is taken (about the same amount as an average blood test) which is then placed in a centrifuge in order to separate it into red blood cells, clear serum and platelets. This plasma is then re-injected using tiny painless injections, in whichever area requires treatment.

The injections used in Dracula PRP Therapy are tiny, and the treatment does not involve the use of any ‘red’ blood. The plasma used is clear, or yellowish and patients generally have no downtime.

Dracula PRP Therapy allows the body to heal faster and more efficiently. It stimulates DNA repair, heals scars, promotes collagen production and makes dry lacklustre skin look and feel younger. As well as being used as an anti-ageing treatment, PRP also has wider uses within the medical profession, including treating hair loss and sports injuries.

Results are noticeable within 2-4 weeks and often only one treatment is required. It works especially well for the forehead, cheeks, neck, décolletage, hands, knees and elbows, as well as treating scars and stretch marks. Some patients have a small amount of bruising after treatment but generally return to work and social activities the same day.

Dracula PRP Therapy appeals to patients looking for a more natural approach to facial rejuvenation. It’s an autologous treatment (meaning it is only derived from the patient’s own body) therefore it’s not possible to be allergic to it. It does not contain toxins or animal products and can also be used in combination with a number of other treatments; for instance mixed with dermal fillers, administered at the same time as Botox and a thread lift, or even after cosmetic surgery in order to speed up the healing process.

Some versions of PRP suggest a course of treatments; however Dracula PRP Therapy for facial rejuvenation is generally performed in one treatment, with repeat treatments every 2-6 months in line with the on-going ageing process. Treatment for hair loss or scarring can require subsequent treatments.
