Dr Chris Siddons

Our new dental suite in the rural village of Burley in Wharfedale has been purpose built to work to the highest standards in dentistry and offer the best treatments money can buy. Local dentist Chris Siddons believes in providing the highest standard of ethical dentistry and putting his patients first, whether they come to him to maintain good oral health or to undergo a complete smile makeover.

After successfully completing his studies in 1993 gaining his degree in dental surgery, and a further degree in pathology at the University of Manchester, School of Dentistry, Chris entered into the world of Dentistry as House Officer at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital. After his experience in a hospital setting, during his first job as an Associate Dentist Chris developed a special interest in treating anxious patients under intravenous and inhalation sedation as well as acquiring an impressive skill set in minor oral surgery. As a result of his interest in sedation, he became involved in lecturing sedation techniques and resuscitation. By 1999, Chris had bought his own dental practice in Ilkley and for 7 years worked there as the Principal Dental Surgeon, developing the practice to offer a full range of dental treatments. He quickly built up a loyal patient base due to the perfect balance of his skills and interest in dentistry and understanding his patient’s needs alongside his easy-going, approachable and caring personality. During this time Chris was extensively involved in the research and development of new dental materials and techniques with the University of Birmingham Dental Hospital.

Many of Chris’ former patients will remember the difficult decision he had to make to sell the practice after suffering complications following a slipped disc in his neck. After a few months of R&R, Chris decided to take the position of Clinical Dental Teacher at the Leeds Dental Institute, passing on his knowledge and skills to the next generation of dentists.

Although no longer running his own practice, Chris still stayed focused on his dentistry and began work developing his skills in Cosmetic Private Dentistry, completing full mouth restorations and facial rejuvenation treatments using botox and fillers, as lead dentist at an award winning private practice in York. Eventually his neck problem required surgery but after a quick and full recovery Chris was back at work much to the delight of his patients! Once again, with his love of dentistry and his desire to provide patients with a high standard of care and treatment, he decided to develop a new practice of his own – The Burley Dental Suite. Chris has a particular interest in keeping up to date with the latest general and cosmetic dentistry techniques, completing advanced courses in dentistry regularly. His focus is on providing his patients with the best treatment money can buy, using world leading laboratories and technicians from the UK, America and Sweden to create the perfect smile. Chris has spent a huge amount of time perfecting his skills in oral surgery and the placement of dental implants, and is currently undergoing advanced training in implant placement.

Through spending time building good relationships with his patients, Chris is able to address the needs and requirements of each individual without compromising the health of the teeth. Dr Christopher Siddons (male) graduated with a BSc in Manchester, UK in 1992 and a BDS in Manchester, UK in 1993. He is registered with the General Dental Council (registration number is 69467) and the Association of Dental Implantology.
