Olurotimi qualified in 1991 from School of dentistry University of Benin, Nigeria, and has worked in several hospitals both in the United Kingdom and abroad, including Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Bedford General Hospital, Watford General Hospital, Countess of Chester Hospital and Royal London Hospital. During his training in the hospitals, he reached the level of a Staff Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry.

Olurotimi is committed to continuing professional development. He obtained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2000, a certificate in Restorative Dental Practice in 2005, from the Eastman Dental Institute (Universities College London) one of the worlds renowned Postgraduate Institution.

In December 2009, Olurotimi obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute as part of his commitment to lifelong learning.

Olurotimi was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Health Services Leadership and Management by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) in 2011. The diploma provided Olurotimi the educational experience that has advance his knowledge and competence in the operational and strategic management of dental services, to ensure his dental team consistently provide a high quality of dental care.

In 2013, Olurotimi was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) of the Royal College of Surgeons in recognition of his excellence in primary dental care .

The fellowship is a significant maker of Olurotimi's ongoing commitment to professional development and reflective practice. It is also a quality benchmarking, which can be relied upon by organisations who commission services such as health commission boards and by patients.

Olurotimi has a strong interest in Endodontics Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a member of the following:
