Dr Ken Aylward

Dr Ken Aylward is the owner and Principal of Sedgemead House Dental & Facial Center. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Licentiate of Dental Surgery plus Associate of Kings College London in 1980 from Kings College Hospital Dental School London.

He bought his first NHS Dental Practice in Waterlooville Hampshire in 1983 and then 5 years later in 1988 bought Sedgemead House Dental Practice in Dover. His love of the sea made this the perfect place for him to settle and raise a family.

Ken has always made a point of staying up to date in dentistry. In 2000 he was among the first group of English Dentists to offer one hour tooth whitening. Then in 2004 ken added Implant dentistry to his skill set. With this treatment option for the permanent and life-like replacement of missing teeth, Ken was now able to offer full- mouth rehabilitation combining the disciplines of gum treatment, complex restorative, cosmetic and Implant Dentistry to provide solutions to almost any situation presented to him.

In 2006 Ken realized the need to extend his cosmetic services and following the appropriate high level training and accreditation has been offering Facial Rejuvenation Treatments including wrinkle reducing Botulinum tetani injection treatment, commonly known as Botox plus various skin peels, dermal Fillers and other treatments.

Ken loves his job and enjoys getting to know new patients and welcoming back existing ones.  Our patients soon become our friends and laughter is often heard coming from the consulting room. Our patients travel many miles to be seen by Ken with most clients citing his caring, calm and gentle touch plus his ability to listen and understand each persons individual desires with regard to their faces, smiles and teeth. Put simply our patients feel that they are in safe and secure hands!
