Howard has now been appointed the UK post graduate tutor (surgical implant placement and restoration) for Implant Direct.

He will be lecturing and teaching dental implant surgery and will be the point of contact for Implant Direct dentists, as well as attending conferences and trade shows as the Implant Direct implant surgeon.

Howard graduated from the Royal Dental Hospital, London, in 1981. After qualifying he worked in general practice as an associate before buying the current Quality Affordable Dentistry practice in 1988.

With over 30 years of experience in general practice and 25 years at the current premises, Howard provides the highest quality of service to all his patients using the latest in dental techniques with the latest technology.

Howard's special interest is in oral surgery, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry, especially tooth whitening. Howard carried out his training with Straumann, and has been successfully providing dental implants for quite sometime now. Howard is in the process of setting up an implant course to teach other dentists the techniques of implant dentistry. He has embarked on further training courses to maintain and update his knowledge and is a member of the ITI [International Team of Implantology] and ADI [Association of Dental Implantology].

Howard is now being referred implant patients from other practices and visits over 10 practices from Luton in the North to Morden in the south, to place dental implants, and teaches the dentists in these practices how to restore them with; crowns , bridges and dentures. Howard has been invited by the Association of Dental Implantology to lecture on diagnosis and treatment planning for dental implants.

In his spare time, Howard enjoys fly fishing for trout and salmon, road running and improving his fitness at the gym. Besides his long- term interests in IT, he also plays the guitar (rock/pop/jazz music) and is now grade 8 (Royal College of Musicians).

Howard is now the ImplaSKY (a major international implant company) key opinion leader for the UK and Europe. He is also their postgraduate tutor and surgeon for dental implants. He will be lecturing on a regular basis for them and holding training courses for dentists at his practice. Howard is also carrying out on going clinical research into artificial bone grafting using Ethos bone grafts.
