Homaira Mazhar

Homaira qualified from the Burkhat School of Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the Eastman Dental Hospital in June 2008, and has been working in private practices ever since. I am passionate about my work and keep up to date with the latest in Dentistry by regularly attending courses. I am also a member of British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.

As a Hygienist alongside routine scaling and polishing, I carry out deep scaling with the use of numbing agents to make the treatment more comfortable for my patients. I offer a special salt spray polish which not only makes your teeth feel extra clean but leaves you with a refreshing taste!

I also carry out fissure sealants and have done an additional course on Tooth Whitening. More than ever before we all want to look and feel good, and this is one area of Dentistry that really interests me. I’d like all my patients to go away with a smile they are proud of.

I work very closely with the dentists to make sure my patients achieve the best gum health. I like my patients to be fully involved in the treatment of their gums, so I will show you how best to clean your teeth.

I was born in the UK and have lived in London ever since. I am very interested in gardening and my husband and I have recently bought a house with a garden, so now it allows us to grow our own fruit and vegetables. I find the outdoors very calming and it’s such a great sense of achievement to see all the different produce growing every month!

I also enjoy baking for my friends and family. I like to experiment with new cake recipes; my most recent baking session was a Double Chocolate Fudge Cake!
