Dr Vijay Gohil

Hi, my name is Vijay, and I am one of the Clinical Directors here at Street Farm Dental Studio. Our vision here is to give exceptional customer service with resounding and evidence based expertise in clinical skills. Having graduated from Manchester University in 1999, I have since completed a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry at the world famous Eastman Dental Hospital, Advanced Veneer and Cosmetic Dentistry Programmes with Dr David Hornbrook and am also a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programme Master Practitioner. I have attended superior courses in T.M.J Therapy, Veneer and Cosmetic Dentistry, Teeth Whitening and Implant Restoration.

My Passion is found in Advanced studies of Orthopaedics and Orthodontics, allowing me to help people have straight jaw and teeth alignment, from adults to young children. I have just completed a 1-year residency with the world famous Orthodontist Dr Derek Mahony, orthodontist to the stars. The techniques I have acquired allow me to use the most advanced brace system in the world to help straighten and cosmetically enhance all types of misalignment of teeth from simple cases to the most complex. I firmly believe in treating the teeth to match the face and advocate non-extraction therapy in children and adults. I have attended all forms of orthodontic seminars that allow me to offer all aspects of orthodontics to my patients.

As I have studied with leaders in all different fields of orthodontics I am able to give you every option available for straightening your teeth. This may be from the Inman aligner, Invisalign, Invisible Aligners, Social 6 therapy, Lingual Braces, Six Month Smiles, Damon Braces, A.L.F Therapy and Ceramic Brackets. I am able go through every option available for you and then you decide on the treatment you prefer.

I consider myself to be a caring, ethical and most importantly approachable to my patients, which allows me to have a professional and yet relaxed relationship with my patients.

We have international patients who travel from all parts of the world to be treated at Street Farm and I put that down to the fact that in all aspects of patient care, we are perfectionists.

My other passion in life is Personal Development and I have been very lucky as to study with the most forward and foremost thinkers in the world such as Anthony Robbins, Dr John Demartini and Jim Rohn. These seminars have allowed me to learn deeper about Human Behaviour and inspired me to become a student of people and further to become a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Clinical Hypnotherapist. These skills used in Dentistry make us one of the few studios truly dedicated in helping nervous, anxious and phobic patients. I can in some patients remove their life long phobias in as little as 10-15 minutes! I regularly have patients referred from other dentists and am happy to help them over come their dental phobias.

These skills have allowed me to share the knowledge with other doctors and dentists and I have lectured at the IAAFA conference in 2007,2008 and 2009. We recently lectured to local dentists at the Basildon Postgraduate Centre to 60 dentists.

I also am married to Dr Sarita Sharma and have a young son. I also enjoy marathon running and have raised over £10k for local and national charities.
