At the age of 30 it dawned on me that not only would I have to worry about the size of my bottom, but I now also had the daunting prospect of wrinkles to contend with too! After naively trusting in a few ‘doctors’ who claimed to know what they were doing, I luckily found Dr Holmes who’s ‘less is more’ approach gave me the results I knew I wanted. I’m now 36 and I revel in revealing my age, as people are often pretty surprised! Apart from his kind, caring and trusting nature, his experience, his expertise is few and far between I have come to realise in this industry. I whole heartedly believe that with Dr Holmes treatments, managing the early signs of ageing in a subtle way, has not only given me confidence in my appearance, but also at the prospect of embracing the years to come, knowing that I’ll do so with less worry about looking old and feeling that way too. Looking in the bathroom mirror one morning in the harsh day light I realised despite spending quite a large amount of money on expensive face and eye creams, and having a fairly structured facial care regime, the ageing process was definitely catching up on my face. Having the consultation with Dr. Holmes was enlightening and we discussed some treatment options. I was given some patient information literature to read and went away to think about it. I was very nervous about having Botox injected into my face as I had read in magazines about the side-effects of a badly placed injection performed by inexperienced and unlicensed practitioners that could possibly lead to complications. Dr. Holmes is totally professional and qualified in this specialist field and I had total confidence in him. I signed a consent form to say that I understood the procedure and the risks were explained to me. I felt reassured throughout the procedure and he explained everything before he did the injections. Firstly I had an anaesthetic cream put on my forehead and to the side of my face which was left on for about 20 minutes; it felt cool and gently numbed the areas to be injected. I then lay down on the couch, wearing a headband to keep the hair off my face. Dr. Holmes said I may feel some pressure when the injection went into my skin but it was a pain free procedure. I was informed by Dr. Holmes that I could go about my normal activities but to avoid alcohol that evening. I had a tiny bruise appear on my forehead that I could easily cover with make up. I would highly recommend this procedure with Dr. Holmes and I am truly thrilled with the result and everyone I know has told me well I look, which makes me feel amazing. Thank you Dr. Holmes.
