A patient ask Dr Julian Rowe-Jones for advice on improving the look of their nose:

Dear Dr Rowe Jones, I have a very bulbous nasal tip and wonder what the procedure would be to make it more aesthetically pleasing? And also would there any be scars inside or outside of the nose after this? Many thanks, KF.
Thank you for your question.  I would be very happy to help you in relation to your bulbous nasal tip.  There are many ways to treat this depending on the severity of the problem, the anatomy of your tip cartilages and your skin type.  There are many different types of cartilage shape and size that can cause a bulbous tip and I would need to see you for examination before being able to offer you the appropriate options.  I favour the open approach which involves a small cut on the columella skin between the  nostrils as well as cuts inside the nose. I hope this helps. With kind regards  Julian Rowe-Jones
