Julian Rowe-Jones FRCS (ORL) is a world-renowned specialist in functional and cosmetic nasal surgery and has been practising continually since qualifying from St. Thomas’ Hospital Medical School back in 1986.
He received his specialist surgical training in London teaching hospitals and became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992.
In 1996, Julian was awarded a prestigious travelling fellowship by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and studied in world-renowned centres of excellence in Germany. It was during this period and in his senior surgical training, mentored by the leading UK nasal and rhinoplasty surgeons of the time, that he developed his fascination and specialisation in the complex field of nasal plastic surgery.
Julian is a member of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, a board member of the Facial Plastic Surgery UK committee (FPS—UK) and an allied specialty member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He is board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery by The International & European Boards for Certification in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Internationally recognised, he is past Chairman of The European Rhinoplasty Society, has chaired the fellowship committee of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and is an invited faculty member and speaker at many rhinoplasty meetings, including The Milan Rhinoplasty Masterclass and the Chicago Advances in Rhinoplasty meeting. He is also a board member of The International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies. He has advised the Government as a committee member on education and training and clinical quality and outcomes in cosmetic surgery. Currently he is co-authoring a textbook on Rhinoplasty.
