Gursharan qualified at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals’ school of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998 and undertook her three-year orthodontic specialist training at Guy’s & Kings Hospital from 2001 to 2004. She was appointed as a Senior Registrar at The Royal Surrey and Eastman Dental Hospitals in 2005.

Gursharan is currently a consultant Orthodontist, spending her time between the Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation Trust and Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  She holds a degree in Psychology, an area in which she holds a special interest. Her clinical experience involves personal diagnosis and treatment of adults and children, from cases requiring treatment for simple alignment to severe jaw discrepancies requiring multi-disciplinary care utilising the latest advances in materials and systems.  Her personal commitment is to provide high quality care for all her patients in a relaxed and friendly environment.  Gursharan routinely uses metal and tooth coloured fixed appliance systems and is certified and experienced in using the Incognito and Invisalign systems.

Outside of work, Gursharan lives in Woking and is a keen runner and loves trekking and travelling, having been to Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp.  She has completed a number of marathons for chosen charities and worked on a variety of voluntary projects, including working as an expedition dentist in The Gobi Desert, Mongolia with the Scientific Exploration Society.
