Dr Imran Sharif

About: Imran is an associate dentist at Norfolk Dental Specialist. Imran’s professional exposure to a number of different areas within dentistry has provided him the necessary skills in the following areas: periodontal (gum disease) treatment, dental implants, oral surgery and conscious sedation.

Imran qualified from Guy’s King’s & St. Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2003. Over a three year period he undertook Senior House Officer positions in Restorative dentistry, Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial surgery. During this time he successfully gained his Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of England (MFDS RCS Eng) in 2005.

Imran was then appointed as a Dental Officer in Community Dental Service, which involved managing patients with complex medical conditions, special needs and dental phobia.

His interest in conscious sedation led to him gaining membership of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) in 2007. At this time Imran accepted a staff grade position in Oral Surgery at Kings college hospital.

In 2008 he embarked on a four year specialist training programme, Masters in Clinical Dentistry Periodontology. He is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology.

Imran has previously taught undergraduates at the Oral Surgery Department at Kings College University and regularly lectures on Periodontology to other dentists.
