David was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, and studied medicine at the Welsh National School of Medicine gaining his MBBCh (Wales) ‘magna cum laude’ in 1973.

He was appointed Consultant and OIC in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Princess Of Wales RAF Hospital Ely and thereafter as OIC in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Princess Mary’s RAF Hospital Halton.

He was appointed as the Royal Air Force Consultant Adviser in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care with responsibility for overseeing training and aeromedical evacuation throughout the Royal Air Force both home and abroad.

David retired from the Royal Air Force in 1998 to work in the NHS and has since moved into independent anaesthetic practice with admitting rights at the Cambridge Private Hospital, Chiltern Hospital, Highgate Hospital, Saxon Clinic, Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, Spire Harpenden Hospital, West London Hospital and the Welbeck Hospital.

His particular interests are anaesthesia and sedation for oral and dental surgery and plastic/cosmetic surgery. He is an Advance Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support and European Paediatric Life Support provider.
