Dr Lydia Hopkins

Lydia qualified from the London Hospital Medical College in 1990. She worked in general practice and the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ashford Hospital, before specialisation. Her specialist training (MSc) was completed at the Eastman Dental Institute, London in 1995 and she entered the specialist register in 1997.

She has spent the last 18 years working in private practice, as a Specialist for several NHS Trusts and as a lecturer at Bart’s and the London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry teaching trainee Specialists and dental undergraduates. She is regional educational representative of the British Society of Periodontology, a scientific advisor for industry and an examiner at the Eastman Dental Institute.

Lydia is actively involved in research within the field and has published and presented several papers.
