Dr Wahab Shakir

Wahab qualified at Newcastle University and then moved to London to work in private practice. He has gained a wealth of knowledge in cosmetic and general dental procedures.

As a professional, Wahab makes it his mission to produce cosmetic excellence. He has a strong belief in prevention and will only remove tooth structure after all other avenues have been exhausted. Wahab returns smiles back to aesthetic beauty with minimally invasive techniques such as tooth whitening, bonding, veneers, inlays and crown. He is also a certified provider of Invisalign®.

Wahab is passionate about dentistry, has a friendly and caring approach and he is also great at helping nervous patients and children feel relaxed.

Wahab is always making sure he keeps up to speed with the constant developments in dentistry. As part of his on-going professional development, he has been on courses internationally and regularly enjoys attending courses by world-class dentists.

Wahab has gained a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry from the Tipton Institute and a second Certificate in Hands-on Dentistry for which he was presented the Best Dentist Award! He has now started his Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He is also a member of BARD (British Academy of Restorative Dentists) and is treasurer of their conference organisation committee.

In his spare time, Wahab has a passion for signing, playing the guitar, ukulele, mandolin, steel drums and didgeridoo! He enjoys going to see live music and keeps fit at the gym.
