Dr Elaine Giedrys-Leeper

I qualified from Bristol University and after graduate training at Guy's and the Eastman Dental Hospital I went to the USA to obtain a Masters degree in Periodontology at the University of Washington, Seattle. I returned to the UK to take up a Consultant post at St George's Hospital in South London and then at the Eastman Dental Hospital.

I have been in part time Periodontal Specialist practice for 28 years.

I am on the Periodontal and Restorative Specialist Registers. I have been heavily involved with postgraduate teaching both at the Eastman Dental Hospital and at the Royal College of Surgeons and internationally. I was Chair of the Education Committee of the British Society of Periodontology for 5 years. I was one of the editors of the BSP’s “Young Practitioners Guide to Periodontology”. I am currently involved with the Cochrane collaboration, contributing to systematic reviews in the field of Periodontology.

I was the first woman President of the American Dental Society of London.

I am married to a Californian and have 2 grown up daughters. Outside of the practice I am a big fan of any sort of opera. I enjoy discovering, with the family, new and interesting places to enjoy good food and wine.

I provide specialist peridontist services to many patients local to the practice in Westminster, Chelsea and Kensington but also welcome those wishing to travel from further afield.
