Ashwin graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Dentistry in addition to a degree in Biomedical Materials Science. After graduating, Ashwin gained experience working in several busy NHS general dental practices treating patients of diverse backgrounds with a wide range of dental needs. He works well with children and anxious patients and takes pride in providing minimally invasive dentistry.
He has an interest in direct aesthetic restorative dentistry (tooth coloured materials) and is highly motivated in providing quality dental care to patients using the finest materials and equipment. He likes to keep up to date with the ever evolving field of dentistry by attending training courses and lectures on the latest technology and techniques. Ashwin has also been involved in lecturing undergraduate dental students at the University of Birmingham as well as postgraduate master’s students at the University of Manchester.
Outside of work Ashwin enjoys sports such as football, basketball and badminton. He is an avid skier and has taken part in one of the most extreme sports – skydiving!
Ashwin is a formula 1 fan, has a love for cars and a keen interest in photography and travelling. In the past he trained in martial arts and achieved the grade of 2nd Dan black belt in karate.
