Julie Dunham

Julie began her career at Handside Dental Surgery as a dental nurse in 1978. During this time she decided that she wanted to further her career and become a Dental Hygienist. She did her training as a civilian, at the The Institute of Dental Health and Training as RAF Halton where she qualified in 1981.

She then spent the next year working as a Hygienist, in the specialised dental unit at Leavesden Hospital, providing treatment for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.

Julie returned to Handside Dental Surgery in 1982, to provide dental hygiene services to NHS, Denplan and Private patients. She has also worked part time at six other Hertfordshire dental practices during her career.

Julie is the longest serving member of the dental team, with a career at Handside spanning over 3 decades. Julie said "It's a pleasure to still be treating many of the same patients today as I did 30 years ago".
