Asif qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 2002 securing distinctions and 4 gold medals along with the graduate of the year award. Asif has held various posts in the Hospital and Academic setting primarily in Oral Surgery at Imperial College NHS Trust, Kings College Hospital, Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals. Asif underwent postgraduate specialisation in prosthodontics leading to a Masters in Clinical Dentistry awarded followed by the MRD in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and a Fellowship in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is a GDC recognised Specialist in Prosthodontics and a fellow from the European Prosthodontic Association.
His current interest lie in safe techniques and materials in dentistry, he also has a flare in aesthetics (smile make overs), management of tooth surface loss, full mouth rehabilitation and complex oral surgery involving dental implants, bone augmentation, and sinus grafts. Asif is excellent with nervous patients and aims to perform procedures under local or IV Sedation in the primary care setting.
Outside of dentistry, Asif has a Masters in Business Administration and a keen interest in technology. He works alongside Humanity First, an International volunteer relief organisation registered in over 60 countries with ongoing medical and dental work in several countries. He is currently leading the Oral Health project in The Gambia.
