Ian Dunn

Ian qualified from Leeds in 1998 and went into general practice in the North West. In 2001 he was awarded membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. In 2002 he joined the teaching staff at Liverpool Dental Hospital in the periodontology department and has recently been promoted to the teaching lead in Periodontology. In 2007 he started a part-time MSc in Periodontology which he completed in 2010. Together with his undergraduate teaching, he has recently been invited to teach on the Royal College of Surgeons diploma in Restorative Dentistry and lectures with Phil Ower, providing post-graduate courses, both theoretical and hands on. He is the British Society of Periodontology regional representative for Merseyside and Cheshire and recently spoke on the highly successful Periodontal Roadshow. The Old Surgery were privileged to gain Ian’s expertise in May 2011, to provide general dentistry and also receive periodontal referalls for in-house patients and for patients from practices throughout the North West. Ian has also recently gained his ‘Specialist Periodontist’ status in October 2013.
