Trick or Treat…

Happy Halloween, everyone!

This morning after wearing my first set of aligners for two weeks, I swapped them over for my second set. I was anxious to do the swap (I feared pain) but I have to say they have been a TREAT and they’re feeling pretty good. Initially they felt rather tight on my teeth but as the day has gone on that tightness has eased.

I’m so pleased with how quickly I’ve adapted to my aligners, they have quite literally become a part of me now and I quite often forget I’m wearing them. I actually went to bite off a piece of sellotape the other day… Not recommended!!!

In just 2 weeks time I go back to the dentist for my third set of aligners and to have some attachments fitted to my teeth, time seems to be flying by!

I hope you all have a wonderful evening knocking on doors and getting lots of sweets, but don’t forget to brush your teeth!

Catch you soon,

Naomi x

Hiya!

Hope you’re all well and dandy.

This morning I visited my dentist to have some attachments fitted to my teeth and receive my 3rd set of aligners.

Having the attachments fitted was a simple, pain-free experience. I just led back in the chair and happily watched some animals going about their daily lives on the TV fixed to the ceiling. They don’t hurt or feel uncomfortable and I barely notice them unless I run my tongue along my teeth.

Having the 3rd set of aligners fitted wasn’t quite as comfortable but it wasn’t painful either. They feel different to the first two pairs, thicker and tighter. But I suppose that is to be expected given I now have attachments between them and my teeth.

My dentist is pleased with the progress of my treatment so far and has asked me to wear my 3rd set for 2 weeks like my previous 2 sets. However with my 4th set he would like me to wear them for 10 days before returning to see him, to see if my teeth have moved enough to shorten each set to 10 days.

My next appointment is booked for Friday 8th December so I will be sure to update you then and let you know whether my treatment will be remaining at 2 weeks per set of aligners, or shortening to just 10 days per set.

In the meantime here are a few photo’s of the attachments I had placed on my teeth. As you can see, they aren’t too invasive or noticeable which is good!
