IS BRUSHING TEETH ONCE A DAY ENOUGH?

Brushing teeth twice a day is the norm recommended by a dentist but a YouGov survey has revealed that almost a third of Britons only do so once daily. 

This is not sufficient as it is the quality of brushing and the frequency that counts.

An electric toothbrush is recommended for the best results. 

Here are some basic rules to follow:

  • Apply firm and even pressure on the brush
  • Use the brush at a 45-degree angle
  • Do not rinse after brushing
  • Cleaning between the teeth is also vital as this is “where gum disease starts”.
