MiXto is a micro fractional CO2 skin resurfacing laser treatment used to rejuvenate the skin. It uses a laser beam to heat precise areas of the skin & vaporise the damaged cells. It works on the deeper layers of the skin to provide long lasting effects.
MiXto is a micro fractional CO2 skin resurfacing laser treatment. It is used to rejuvenate tired, sagging or wrinkled skin and can help to alleviate common skin complaints such as age spots, crow’s feet, acne scarring and an uneven skin tone. It is often used to treat:
• Facial wrinkles and fine lines, particularly those on the cheek, forehead and upper lip
• Fine lines around the eyes
• Loose skin on the eyelids
• Pucker marks and forehead lines caused by frowning
• Scars, especially those caused by acne
• Loose or saggy skin on the neck and around the jowls
• Pigmentation, brown spots, sun damage and an uneven skin tone
MiXto laser treatment uses a laser beam to heat precise areas of the skin and vaporise the damaged cells. It works on the deeper layers of the skin to provide long lasting effects. By injuring the old skin, the laser encourages the body to replenish itself. The newer skin that emerges is tighter, features fewer blemishes and wrinkles and has smaller pores. Treatment can be targeted to small areas or larger parts of the body. As with all procedures of this type, the actual treatment time will be dependent on the amount of skin to be targeted.
MiXto laser treatment offers long lasting improvements. Patients that couple their MiXto laser procedure with the correct sun protection can prolong the visible effects for a number of years.
If you’re undergoing MiXto laser treatment, you’ll notice positive changes immediately and then more gradual improvements over time as new collagen forms. Most patients find the full results of MiXto become visible around three to five months post treatment but it can continue to improve even after this time period.
Straight after the treatment has been completed skin can feel hot but topical anaesthetic applied directly to the treatment area makes this sensation more tolerable. The discomfort subsides after around an hour and the patient should apply gel to keep treated skin moist. Skin targeted by the laser will look red and feel swollen following the procedure.
A single MiXto treatment costs around £1,500
