Thomas Sealey

Dr Thomas Sealey has won the prestigious title of 'Best Young Dentist - South' for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016) at the FMC Dentistry Awards. These awards are the most coveted and respected awards across dentistry and recognise him for his achievements across all aspects of Dentistry including his high standard of clinical care and skill, his commitment to advanced learning and education and his contributions to the profession of Dentistry. Dr Thomas Sealey has also been shortlisted as a finalist for three categories at the 2017 FMC Aesthetic Dentistry Awards. Being a finalist for one of these prestigious awards, which recognise only the very best aesthetic clinical dentistry, is testament to the beautiful and natural aesthetic dentistry that Dr Thomas Sealey can achieve. Dr Tom qualified from Leeds University in 2006 with Bachelors in Dental Surgery. He moved to Essex where he worked in a very large NHS Dental Practice for 8 years. During this time he completed a Masters degree in Medical Education and became an Equivalency Trainer and a Foundation Dental Trainer. Dr Tom is currently completing his Third year of his second Masters degree, Endodontic Practice at Queen Mary University of London. This training provides Dr Tom with more advanced skills and knowledge and enables him to complete root canal treatments to a much higher standard using a sophisticated dental microscope and therefore improves successful outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Apart from his proficiency with the cutting edge technology of the CEREC machine, which can provide dental crowns and veneers within a one-hour period; all other cosmetic techniques such as dental implants, advanced aesthetic composite restorations, smile design including orthodontics and tooth whitening, are part of his portfolio.

Dr Tom is trained to provide many different types of cosmetic orthodontic appliance and one of his passions is cosmetic smile makeovers. His focus is on achieving the perfect smile for every patient but without having to drill the natural teeth and without injections. This technique is completed by straightening the teeth, then whitening them, followed by using state-of-the-art clinical restorative filling materials to re-shape the natural teeth and create the perfect smile.

Dr Tom’s calm and thorough approach is reflected by his excellent reputation, and his enthusiasm for continuing advanced training and broad clinical experience has been recognized and rewarded by his peers. In addition to being voted as the Best Young Dentist in the South, he writes for many Dental Publications and examples of his clinical work are regularly published to demonstrate to other dentists what amazing smile transformations can be achieved with minimally invasive and pain-free dental techniques.
