Andy qualified from Bristol in 1980 and has maintained a strong interest in orthodontics ever since. He completed the University of Sheffield 2 year part-time fixed orthodontics course in 1996 and provided his first Invisalign aligners in 2007. He quickly became a Platinum Provider and has now started over 450 Invisalign cases. More importantly than that, he has successfully completed them too!
Andy is particularly impressed by the high quality of the Invisalign system and the ongoing research and development they undertake. The patented Clincheck system provides him with the ability to plan treatments very carefully and also show the patient the likely result before they start treatment. This builds confidence in a great result for both patient and dentist.
Andy has a Master’s degree in Clinical Education and was invited to become an Invisalign UK Clinical Speaker in 2011. He has taught dentists and their teams on the Invisalign system throughout the UK and Ireland. Andy is CEO of Invisinet and currently works with a network of 20 practices, helping them to provide Invisalign to a high standard of clinical and customer care.
Andy also has a keen interest in Clinical Governance — a quality management system designed to improve the care and safety of patients in the clinical environment. In 1992 Andy’s practice was amongst the first in the world to attain the ISO 9002 quality management accreditation, and this experience has helped him become a leader in the field. To date, he has taught over 1200 dentists and their teams on the topic and is a frequent contributor to the Primary Dental Journal of the Faculty of General Dental Practice, Royal College of Surgeons (England).
